Held 2013

H.E.L.D Festival 2013

Our first Film Festival is over, and it went even better than we could have imagined. A special thanks to all the film makers who came down, the great volunteers without whom we could have never managed to get thought the day and our fantastic guests for sticking through two and a half hours of film!

And a Special congratulations to A Roost for Every Bird director Jack Wormell who won our best film award as well as Cave Unicycling director Katie and Michael Garrett & Daisy director Charlie Taylor who won the runners up award!

On the 17th August we held our very first open submission short documentary festival. It was an afternoon of though provoking and entertaining films from around the world. The festival ran from 2:30pm - 7:00pm in the Studio Theatre at Matthews Yard in Croydon.

HELD Festival was run by Donna Lipowitz and Benjamin Bridges who met as filmmaker and subject on a short documentary challenge. Their idea was to put together a film festival that would be fun, uplifting and thought provoking.

Here are some pictures of the day!
